Music So Far

Music can be a tricky subject to teach, and I think I speak for majority of my class when I say that it was extremely intimidating to walk into our first class. I have to admit though, we have come a long way from the first day: we know our doe-rae-mi’s and the hand signs to match, we know how to play four notes on the recorder and learned to read them on the staff, we can play three chords and six notes on the ukulele, and our singing is great! We have even let loose and gotten more comfortable in getting silly!
This week, we incorporated the xylophones and metaphones into one of the songs we have been learning, and put on a concert (with a cameo appearance by Professor String on the Piano). It isn’t perfect, but we were pretty proud of ourselves!
